How will you get paid? Cheque, Direct Deposit or PayPal
Most companies that you earn money with on the Intenet will pay you direct by cheque sent to your home or business address.
You can also set up a direct deposit where they will automatically pay you your earnings or commissions straight to your bank account.
Hold off on the direct deposit route until you start making some consistent income, it may be more hassle than it’s worth!
In any event, every commission or internet income program will have a threshold that you will need to achieve before they pay you!
In many cases, this is anywhere from $50 to $100, but I’ve seen payouts as low as $20.00
(Believe it or not, I used to receive $2 to $3 cheques from one very large company, obviously I was not actively promoting their products, but these commission cheques kept coming in!)
Open up a PayPal account to get paid
More and more companies are now paying directly to your PayPal account.
So if you do not have one, click here to open up a new PayPal account.
Don’t worry, PayPal is FREE and they do not have access to your banking or credit card information, unless you provide it.
PayPal has been around forever and the majority (if not all) transactions performed on eBay are done through PayPal. So there are a lot of users. Personally I have been using PayPal since 2002 and have not had any problems.
Here are some simple tips for your PayPal account
- Don’t mess with PayPal, be clean and provide valid information. Although you may have set up a gmail or Hotmail email account, use the email account provided by your Internet Service Provider.
- Validate your account. Yes it may take a few extra steps, but well worth it.
- Do not share your PayPal account with anyone! Even if your sister in law wants to buy the latest outfit on eBay, tell her to get her own account. If she can shop on eBay, she can get her own PayPal account.
- If you plan to sell online and if a customer submits a dispute, resolve it immediately! Don’t wait a couple of days, do it right away. The whole point of this is that you need to keep you account ‘clean’. It’s like an online bank account.
